Four white walls

Imagine yourself in a room. An all white room, and it was yours to paint. You had any color you wanted, and the only limits is that you must paint it without help,you must use wall paint and you cant paint on the ceiling.

What would you paint?


So we've bought a new house, and that means i get to design my room. But i have no idea what to do. I'm pretty much allowed to do anything i want except paint on the ceiling or paint the walls black . So any ideas?

( I'll post pictures later on, once the job is done)

I would do perspective landscapes.

You could copy some really great perspective works with a projector, by tracing the projected image. MC Esher is awesome for this:

Since I can't paint for shit, I would have to go with some kind of wall paper also.
Perhaps with a bunch of pictures or posters in the mix. Various cool looking designs, scenery, and perhaps a few nudes here and there. :naughty:

It would be very cool to have one large scenic outdoors style picture painted on the wall - just one large image that would fit the whole side of a wall.

Why cant you paint the ceiling? Nice colors go well when the walls and the ceiling blend together.

I want to paint the ceiling, but  they've banned me from doing so. I dont know why, but since im not the owner i cant really disagree. What i had wanted to do was paint the ceiling with a scene of the daytime sky and then go over it with that blacklight paint with a trippy night scene.

I like the idea of a mural/scenic landscape on one wall. Maybe a garden scene.But i cant decide if it should be a classic or something more like alice in wonderland.

I still want it to get that sexy vibe when company comes over though :wink:

I'd keep it classic, but it's going to be hard to do.

I have an image of being stood on the edge of a forest looking out onto a colourful meadow with rolling hills in the background.
I'd want to see one or two trees on the wall to frame the meadow, if you can blag to be able to paint the ceiling i'd have the tree tops spreading out across it.

I second this guy. A nice scene would be cool, maybe some people. And if you could paint the ceiling then the typical clouds in the sky type thing.  :sun:

You know when it's like 5AM in the summer and the sun is about to come up? The sky in the west is black and the sky in the east is a light, light blue. The gradient between the two is the color that moves me.

So that's the color I'd paint my walls.

Its a bit pricey but try temperature sensitive paint. You could see temp defferences in your room, put your hand print on the wall and it will just fade away. Hell you could even do a quick finger paint picture.
