Bought a projector, VERY PLEASED!!!
    #7826438 - 01/03/08 04:18 AM (16 years, 29 days ago)

Ok so I spent the last month looking everywhere online for the best deal and best specs on a low cost projector, and wow what a fucking deal I have found.

If ANY of you have been thinking about getting a big screen tv or projector... well FUCK A BIG TV that won't go nearly to the size this can. It has 2200 lumens which is plenty bright enough, right now I have it projecting on a wall I painted with about a 15 foot screen width and 8 foot screen height, I FEEL LIKE I AM IN A DAM MOVIE THEATRE! native resolution goes up to 1280 by 1024 but I actually have it right now set to 1440 by 1050 and it looks way better than having it set to any less or high resolution seems to have some sort of compression tech to allow high resolutions even though it's not exactly capable but FUCKING AWESOME FOR 1080i for only get this...

400 dollars!!! ANYWHERE else this projector cost 1000+ just put in the model number xd1150 in google and see the same projector for like 1600 dollars, the replacement lamps for this model are also extremely cheap can get them at 100 a piece

heres ebay for the 400 dolla projector seems this company has alot of them hehe got here fast only 3 days now i have huge movie theatre room omg omg omg somebody else buy this cause it's so great! just had to tell you guys

theres fucking projectors out there with half the lumens and a native resolution that doesn't even touch this projector

ACER FOR THE WIN!!!

ANYone thinking of a projector PLEASE do your research and then compare this item you will be in shock.

I'd take a pic but it just wouldn't have the same effect as seeing it in person. EVERYBODY GO BUY ONE NOW=

I've never been a fan of projectors, but thats just my personal preference.

I'm confused, how does the native resolution differ from the max. resolution? If that thing can only display 800X600 (the native resolution) you've bought an oversized paperweight.

I'm a big nerd myself when it comes to projectors, but it's not for use in a home entertainment system.

I've always wanted to try some public projector art, combining user interaction of some sort with a message that can be seen by thousands. Some videos below of projectors put to great use, the guys with the laser pointer are genius.

I've had my Optoma H31 projector for a couple of years now.  It'd not HD, but it's very suitable for standard DVD projection, and there's no doubt, projectors are TITS! :yesnod:
Note: I wouldn't buy the Optoma H31 this day and age, but at the time, it was a perfectly sane (and insanely awesome) purchase.

Congrat's on your purchase duster.  I notice the eBay link you provided has a spec table from ProjectorCentral.com, one of the best sites for projector product reviews.  Anyone in the market, ought to visit and study ProjectorCentral.com extensively.
