projector vs plams/LCD?

Basically, the projector will give you a huge screen. an $800 projector can go up to 150" ... you're not going to find a TV that's 150" LOL at least not for $800.
But then again it always has to be dark in order to see a projector.
*sigh*

You have to consider viewing distance. Even with commercially available HD-DVD, you'd need to be pretty far away from a 150" screen to enjoy the quality.
There's a reason projectors are only $800, while larger plasma's and LCD's are much more expensive. I find the quality of projector's to generally suck.

Im on a projector now, its 120inch hd screen my projector cost $2500. I have both a projector in the home theater room and a lcd in my room. The lcd is a sharper picture but I def like the projector more because it is a huge picture and the quality especially when watchn things in hd is amazing. Id get the projector and get a nice screen and mount for it.

I'd love to see one of those 1080p HD projectors in a 150" screen. I'd prolly go that route if I had the room for it but my apartment is small as fuck.

Remember, you gotta keep buying bulbs and they can sometimes be hundreds of dollars a pop.
There's lots of issues, it really depends on what you're looking for. Consider how you'll use it, not just "bigger is better" (I know, it is so true though.)
