Diving like an olympic swimmer at every evailable opportunity springs to mind! And didn't you hear about his rather "unsportsmanlike" behaviour before the match?? He was planning to have Rooney sent off since before they even got on the pitch... i suppose that twat for a referee was just as much to blame... he should have his legs cut off!

Its a bit more lively than that armour-clad sissified rugby you watch over in the US! I tried to watch an American "football" game once and fell asleep it was so boring. Seven seconds of play and then a two minute break while everybody fannies about standing round getting back into their positions... rinse and repeat.

you limeys. geezus. you act like ronaldo did something that the vast majority of footballers this cup INCLUDING the english aren't guilty of too.

you read a few rumors from your yellow journalism of questionable repute and get your knickers in a twist as a result.

why don't you look at the fact of the match, and earlier ones, where you'll find ample evidence suggesting that your frustration should be directed at your own sides lack of heart, depressing penalty kicks, and generally lackluster performance from what should be a highly skilled club.

rooney is a hothead anyway, and if he's that easy to get riled up, he deserves the sending off for being unable to control his temper.

Furry muff, different cultures different tastes i suppose. Im not even that big a football fan myself unless it's international games, the standard of play just reaches a whole other level... you cant beat watching Brazil hand out an arse whooping now and then!

It's accepted that diving is to be expected in a world cup game but we all know England are nowhere near as bad as certain other European clubs, we like to stay on our feet and get the job done!

I dont think anyone can slate our performance during that match to say that Rooney was still recovering from serious injury up front with no support and Owen was out of the game... even when we were down to ten men we still held our own, we were undeniably the better side.

The penalties though, fair enough, you're completely right there, we all knew it was over when extra time finished... and having a goal disallowed by that bar-steward ref for fuck knows what reason didn't help matters either...

Anyway, just blowing off some steam  :pottymouth:
