Using rubbing alcohol to clean synthetic filter disc top of grain jar, contamination?

Greetings shroomery,
when I do innoculations, I use a cotton with rubbing alcohol to disinfect the point where I am going to stick my syringe.
I have read that wetting the filter disc will lead to contaminations... so is it incorrect for me to a cotton with rubbing alcohol to clean the top of my filter disc?
Also, after PC'ing rye grain jars, you have to shake them 30 mins afterward to distribute moisture. If the moisture from the grains comes in contact with the bottom of the filter disc, it will also cause contams...
I have been getting so many contams during innoculations...
WHAT CAN I DO?!?!?

I don't even use a filter disk. What I do (always unorthadox, but always great results) is just put a double layer of tyvek under the metal ring of the mason jar, and then I put a dab of gasket silicone where I want the injection port to be.
Follow a grain tek. rinse, soak, strain, and PC with tyvek and dried silicone dab.
ALWAYS works for me. Allows good gas exchange while at the same time retaining moisture. Others will surely tell you different, but these words are from my experience and I KNOW they work. GL

yeah, double layers will prevent that problem. i put micropore tape over the holes in the lids, then cover the whole lid with tyvek. also, if the tyvek is wet with alcohol, i dont think any contams could make it through alive.

thanx,
it seems tyvek is the way to go, I always doubted it (maybe cuz its free?!?!) would work, + I thought I would be fine with the synthetic filter discs, but I guess I should snatch some tyvek from a local post office thanx...
btw from what Ive read, alcohol evaporates pretty quickly, so whats left is moisture which at 80 degrees F is far from ideal, I do use micropore as well
