Tool: Wings 1 & 2 synced

So a few weeks ago my freind said that Wings For Marie (Part 1) and 10,000 Days (Wings Part 2) could be synced together and made into one song. Well about a week ago he gave me a CD with the synced version on it, I'm listining to it right now and its pretty good. Its over 10 mb so I'm going to find if there are any bad parts to the synced version that I can cut off so I can upload it.

just find a way to reduce quality, that'd be better than lopping off part of the tune i think...

the thing about the sync is that they put viginti tres, the last track, at the beginning of the 10,000 days track. then when its over, they start the Wings for Marie 1.

Yeah, I had a vague memory of what my friend told me so I just got the general idea of what I was talking about across. I found an article about it quickly after I posted and threw it on the end of the post. Luck enough it had an mp3 on so I didn't have to upload it.

I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but the last track + Wings 1 = 11:13 Wings 2 = 11:13.

If you reverse the beginning of Intension, you will hear Maynard whispering slowly:

I noticed if you sync Lost Keys and The Pot and stretch to 75% tempo it sounds KICK ASS.

You should do as you say and then post the final products. I would like to here them, but lack the ability to do it myself.

Edit: The "work hard stay in school listen to your mother your father is right" thing is cool. Just tryed it.

Are you sure it wasn't meant to be sped up by 75% ? This really does sound retarded. A little bit like a CotAD song though.

i figure he mustve meant not to slow it down BY 75%, but to slow it down to 75% of the normal rate. as in slow it by 25%.

that's right, thanks for the clarification plexus, but this only works by stretching the tempo without changing the pitch, not slowing it down.

I wish I had time to encode and upload .mp3s...

you can download a free 30 day trial of sony sound forge, i use that and adobe audition
