Yep, Salival was released just before Lateralus. And they will more than likely repeat this for the release of the next album. Yes, they are definately releasing a new DVD, and they are definately releasing a new album. Its gonna be awesome, a huge dose of new tool stuff, not to mention new artwork, new shirts, new posters, its gonna be siiik!

Yeah, i'm waiting for TOOL V like I waited for my 7th Christmas,
But they would say "Stop sitting around, and MAKE A MYTH yourself!"

I had two tickets to the Lateralus show on my 27th birthday,
my friend called at the last minute and said that he couldn't go.

So it was just me and 4 grams of cubensis, I had the BEST musical expeience of my life.
and since I was alone I really freaked out, security kept looking at me wierd.

I had wired two AT853 binaural mini mics in my jacket, and sewed a MDR sack into my crotch.
I was tripping balls, sweating profusely, because I had to keep my jacket on.
The recording turned out to be pure distortion, because the MDR didn't provide enough voltage to the mics.
Now I have a battery-pack for top-notch bootlegs...

I've heard of so many botched TOOL bootlegs, and I've lost so many Aenimas and Lateraluses,
I swear they did some kind of ritual...

Anyway, I'm glad there was an empty seat, cause the woman next to me was 8 MONTHS PREGNANT!
That kid is going to turn out to be someone very special...

The ride home on BART, alone, tripping level 3-4 was some scary shite.

Latest from the TOOL website:

" EMAIL SUBJECT: A FAVOR

?? I am aware that Tool may not ever see the light of day again? but I ask, if Tool does see the light of day again, and they come together for another tour, could you please ask them to maybe make a stop near Richmond??

REPLY:

The last time I checked (which just so happened to be yesterday afternoon), they were very much together, assembling/recording a rather monstrous piece of music (it will be interesting to see how the ?Tool tribute people? interpret this one) that?s to be included on their new album (did I not mention these ?chromatic tortures? several times already on this site?), and, unless you?re truly psychic, I?m fairly certain that TOOL will make a stop near Richmond, Virginia at some point during their next US tour. However, I can?t guarantee that they?ll play Fredricksburg, Culpepper, Mineral, Louisa or the rusted bottle cap parking lot that once was Sam?s Store in beautiful Spotslyvania County (memories of banana Fudgecicles melting while others schemed of nuclear power plants?).

HYPARXIS

LISTEN, it?s great that so many fans of Tool?s music are so eager for specifics about the recording process, wanting song titles, track listings, the names and social security numbers of engineers and producers, and even the ability to download samples of the recording sessions! Unfortunately, at this point I?m not at liberty to reveal these things, but if and when the band decides that they want certain details to be made public (such as social security numbers), they will undoubtedly get posted on the band?s official site (where I still manage to sneak a few things in?shhhhhhh). In the meantime, there?s always the rumor mill, and those who make up their own album titles and release dates? and do a pretty good job at that!"

God i wish theyd put up some solid news, they love tormenting us dont they.
