social hibernation?

well, its that time of the year again. I've pretty much been ignoring my phone nonstop for the past few months, and I am loving every minute of it. I'm also enjoying putting my creative efforts and energy into my own projects, so lots of other artists I have been working with are all taking it extremely personally (so are friends / family).
I love them all, I really don't have any reason to be angry or upset with any of them, even after some pretty touchy messages (like i said, taking it personally..)
anyways, this seems to be a seasonal thing for me, where I want nothing more than to be left alone with my own projects for a while, and then slowly, towards the end of the year I come back out of my shell with new insights and values.
this has been going on for a good 4-5 years now. I don't see much reason to be concerned, since it works for me and I really do get things done... but wondering if I'm just a little bit crazy? Can anyone relate to this?

I think you're ok. Just do what makes you feel like and that's enough. Ypu don't owe to anybody a social life lol. Keep around you only things that give you energy and creativity.

I find myself in a similar situation from time to time, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Maybe just make sure people know it's part of your personality, and that it's not any kind of lack of respect directed against them.
Completely off-topic now, these sound scientists are dope, are you part of them?

Although I see nothing wrong with pursueing your own projects and keeping real with what you are interested in, I think relationships and people/family are just as important, ecspecially if your gaining more responsibilties and power in them. They might be angry because they are in need of your presence, its not easy when your a respected participant in the game of life and its calls on you, dont try to avoid it...There's always plenty of time in the day to dedicated alittle time to the loved ones.
Its always nice to get some free time to just live at "your" own pace, those are good times. No schedule's, no need to get up early, just sleep when tired, drink when thirsty, eat when you get the craving and trip till you can see yourself without using a mirror.
I need to get a job...ugh

well said. i'm not a big fan of games, nor rules. thats would probably help describe my actions. I finally got around to contacting most of the people that have been trying to get ahold of me. turns out: nothing very important.
