Temperature setup for bag of rye/ mycelium?
    #570920 - 03/05/02 09:03 PM (22 years, 2 days ago)

Keeping one's place at 80-85 degrees is a lot to ask. Does anyone have any other suggestions for how to keep a bag of colonizing rye berries at that temperature?
Would a heating pad setup work, and if so, how should I set one up without overheating the bag of rye berries/ mycelium? Help! Thanks.

you might try a closet with a light or two left on , , , put a thermometer in there and keep a check until you get the temp right. make sure the lights are safe distance from anything combustable, , , instead of one very large bulb you may try several smaller ones, , , i think you need to keep the light off of your bag though , in a dark box or something , , good luck

Thanks. I'll think about it. Do you know of any other methods that might not use as much space and electricity? Would using that Alien Incubus with the submersible fish tank heater work? I just want a few ideas before I do anything. Thanks
