Is this mycelium?

I woke up this morning and my jars have signs of life! This is my first grow, so as expected im nervous. I have looked all morning at cobweb pics vs mycelium and im still not 100% if I can tell the difference. I know people say to just wait and see how aggressive it grows, but please humor me and tell me what you think.

A higher resolution, in focus photo would help more, but looks like mycelium to me from what I can tell.

That looks like some mycelium starting to grow. Are those cakes? Did you inoculate using a SAB or without one? Keep it up brother.

they are, followed the tek perfectly, was going to start with rye, but I didt have a pc, I read the tek a million times and as long as follow it and keep my shit sterile I should be ok. Rye has soaked over night so ill be simmering and all that jazz today. I did use a sab, nothing fancy just a big sterlite with holes for my arms, but she was as clean as could be with iso and disinfectant spray. Cambos in the cakes, gt is going in the rye. Might make up a single pf cake with gt incase the rye doesn't work out for whatever reason, then I should at least be able to get a print and try again without spending any unnecessary cash.

The SAB that's wiped down with iso works good for inoculating, I use a basic tote with arms holes too, that's all you need unless you got a HEPA filter. PC for 60-90 minutes minimum 15PSI you'll be fine. The soak will help you out too.
Post an update of the jars in a couple weeks would like to see them.

Perfect! Going to make my lids this morning as well, I should have last night since rtv take so damn long to dry. This hobby is definitely going to test my patience lol. I do have polyfil, and since I am going to be using the polyfil for GE I guess I might just use it as my inoculation ports as well?

Tip for first timers, don’t constantly look at your jars because you can disrupt the dry verm at the top your gonna be waiting at least a couple more weeks for that guy man just leave them alone.
Good luck with your first grow man!

If you are planning on using polyfil for GE and a port, then make 1 hole. However IME they are more prone to contamination. Since you have RTV, why not make a self healing injection port? Just make a big glob of rtv in a hole you drilled. I would rank ports as Polyfil < RTV ship < Rubber ship.
Also like Codeine said, don't keep disrupting your jars, it will stall them and take longer to grow. I know it's hard not to but give them some time you are going to stress both you and your jars out, plus it's more fun to comeback a day later and find a much bigger spot of mycelium take over the jar.
