After Full colonization How many days before Birth

I have around 10 half pint jars of Hawaiians that are fully colonized. iv read from some Teks that you should wait around 3 days after fully colonizing of cakes before you birth them. Does anyone have any hand on info relating to this. Such as if i wait longer to birth after full colonization will i get a bigger first flush because the mecillia will be stronger estabilished. Or does it not really matter as long as the cakes are fully colonized.

If you want to do it according to the PF tek, then you should expose the jars to light at room temperature until pins form.

Here is a way that I do this, when the cakes are fully colonized put them in a very sterylized enviorment, open the lids for a little bit say 10 - 30 sec. This is to allow air exchange, give the jars a little light until invetro pinning happens. then birth them. doing it this way helps the cakes gain strength to fight contam. straight birthing them will give you a more grater risk for contam to set in. This way helps me quite a bit, but I have not worked with growing them for about 6 months now. but I still remember how to grow them as if it was yesterday.
