Tape on jars????

I've read mixed idea's about this, but not many. Do you guys take the tape off the holes in your jars during incubation? When if you do?

My uncles friend has 8 jars, that he has not taked the tape, or the tinfoil off the top, and so far all of his jars have good growth and no contams...

This is always a personal thing. But the Priests in the Temple take tape off as they innoc, and it stays off.
The Sacred Jar Preparer uses a thick (.25 In) layer of verm on top of sub, so the contams can't, well usually don't, get in. The air flow speeds up colonization, and you can get them into the tank faster.
Though, many will leave tape on till birthing, you will learn which is good for you.
Keeping jars in a dark closet, where they won't be manhandled to often helps to keep contams down as well, and this way , its safer to keep tape off.
Only time and trials will tell what works best for you.

I leave tape on the jars and loosen the lids a bit. I dont know if its the best way to do it or not but my jars always end up colonized.

i inject strait through the tape with my syringes-u know punture the tape-then i dont recover them holes-i think the tape getting punctured hinders contams a little-out of 70 jars havnt lost 1 to contams(knock on wood) then after i incoulate through the tape-I DONT RECOVER THE HOLES-
i incoulated some ecuadors on the 26th of feb. the are at 50% this way
i think leaving the tape off also speeds colonzation-just my theroy and 10 cents
