Can Contam Spread From Jar To Jar?? (pf tek brf)

Ive done 30 jars of 7 species using pf tek brf and all have some sort of contamination in it wether its green black white or orange. There is mycelium growth at the inculation points of alot but the contamination has tooken over. So its back to the drawing board again. tommorow i will be ordering 7 more syringes because im NOT going to give up till i master pf tek and then casing and so on. But for now its colonizing these jars. Here is my Sterilization Techinique.
1. cleaned all jars with anti bacteria soap, rinsed and set outside to dry
2. cleaned all the mixing bowls spoons and big pot with anti bacteria soap
3. added the brown rice flour verm and water to the mixing bowl mixed up 1 by 1 to get right ratio and then put into the jars.
4. cleaned the half inch where the substrate wasnt touching the glass of the jars with my finger (used anti bacteria soap)
5. added the vermiculate layer 1 layer of syram wrap over the top of the top of the jar then screwed the other top part onto it. The first batch bubbled and some busted so i put black tape over the holes on the last 8 and i dont think they came out as bad but still all had contamination of some kind.
6. i then put them in the pot and sterilized them at 160 for 90 minutes and the second batch 180 for 90 minutes (it didnt boil, i live near the beach if that has anything to do with it boiling) i let them cool then i took off the lid and did 1 shot down the middle of each jar then put the lid back on and did the usual 4 with the holes i provided
7. i stuck them in a rubbermaid container and stuck them in my closet at 85 degrees. its been 6 days and i have black and green mold and yellow.
QUESTION: WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPROVE MY WAYS OF STERILIZATION?
WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED DURING THIS PROCESS?
CAN CONTAMS SPREAD FROM JAR TO JAR?

Ok.. firstable... bring ure water to a rolling boil.. water filled till jars are half submerged.... let it boil for about 90 min.. now.. secondable... big  chance of contam's if you take your jar lids off to inoculate especially if you are breathing around the jars and didn't do a lysol spray down (I usually take a shower and rinse off.. dry off w/ freshly cleaned towel ... spray lysol everywhere and inoculate in the shower... not one contam so far w/ this method  :tongue:).. and for contams jumpin from jar to jar.. naw, you are just lacking in the sterilization department.. just keep at it..  :grin:

Wiping down all utensils and containers with alcohol might help. A face mask is useful as well. Using the oven tek while inoculating could also help.

Contams can pass from jar to jar, it is just difficult especially if you are using a dry verm layer. 
Tips for your next try:
1.  Like ^^^^, bring your water to a boil, this is crucial.  You can't sterilize at 160, thats pasteurization. 
2.  Don't use seran wrap.  Load the substrate, clean the top 1/2 inch of the jar, add dry verm layer, screw the lid on, and cover the lid with aluminum foil. 
3.  Let your jars cool in the pot. I let them sit over night. 
4. Like ^^^^^ said, don't take the lid off, once you sterilize the lid shouldn't come off until you are ready to birth the cake.
5.  Just a suggestion, instead of ordering 7 syringes, just order one.  That way you don't waste all that money again.  Then when you have a tek down and you've succeeded, you can order all the syringes your heart (or wallet) desires. 

Good luck next time, stick with it, cause its a damn good hobby. :grin:

do your shit as you did,,punch you 4 holes in the lids then tape them off with masking tape,,i tape off each hole ,then put tape across the lid covering two holes at once,,double layer,,get a rack or make one out of wire mesh to keep jars off bottom of pot,,and dont dround them ether,,,boil water,bring flame down to a light boil,,just bubbles nothing sloshing around,,put in jars and let sit for a hour,,tryn to steam,not boil,or bake um,,90 min seems alittle over kill,could dry them out in the end,,,,let cool over night,,dont get amped up and inoc to early,just wait,,,,
oh and nix the plastic wrap,,not needed,just tape off well..

and if you ask me this is where you contams come in,,,,leave the fuckn lid on man you just steralized the shit for a reason,now you take the lid off???
leave it on,,flame stralize the tip of your needle,till glows red,let cool(really let it cool if not the heat,will kill the spores),peel back one layer of tape,and inject by shoving the needle though the first layer of tape,the lay the peeled peice back on top,,,flame steralize between each jar

and maybe think of tryn one or two veriatys,,7 for a first time is a little much,,,,or space them try one,,if fails,try another,,,i mean that 30 jars down the drain

As said before, you have to boil them at 212?F for 60-90 minutes.

As I've mentioned to you on your previous posts PooGrower, seran wrap is NOT adequate on jars as you found out when it bubbled and burst when you sterilized them.
