Give us some more info.... they don't look like cubes imo, but give the proper descrip. Doesn't help that you picked them so soon and can't take a spore print. Bruise blue?

Take a razorblade and starting from the top of the cap, make a cut horizontally all the way down the cap and stem. Take a picture of the two half and send them in immediately!

Definitely NOT Cubes. Not sure what they are but do not eat them. Also ignore DaveTX, he is an idiot.

Actually, cutting one open so we can see the gills might be helpful.

They dont look like cubes to me at all - you might be dying after you eat those as well - so it might not be wise.

I hope you didn't eat those. They don't look anything like cubes other than they are mushrooms.

What kind of habitat did you find them in?
They aren't active.. I see a few good possibilities as to what they may be.. though we are missing important details.
Might help to know the spore print color, what they were growing in, and how they look as they age.

Well I was just saying that I had found a cubensis look-a-like and it wond up being a stalked puffball. It was kinda dried up and dirty when it was first found, plus I was mesing with it and broke the cap off along with tearing the top open for closer exzaminations. It looked identical to the ones you show when I first found it.
