The Millennium Falcon
    #5584675 - 05/03/06 07:27 AM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Did anyone else have one of these Millenium Falcon playsets when they were little? I still have mine, in fact here it is:

At a younger age, I used to have a lot of fun with it... and yet it's still in decent shape. The electronics should still work, too... although there haven't been any batteries in it for many years.

The toy is from 1995. It was my favorite toy though, so I took very careful care of it. Nobody would mishandle the Falcon or there would be HELL to pay.

I still love the thing. I have it set aside like that in the corner of my bedroom. It's very geeky, but the thing does actually make a nice decorative touch. I'm thinking of hanging it from the ceiling in the corner with some clear fishing line.

I'm honestly surprised I haven't been told that more often.

I'll never part with my Millenium Falcon. I might be coerced to sell some of the other toys I have sitting in the attic, but never the falcon... never!

I also insist on keeping Boba Fett, and his ship. You just don't sell Boba Fett... it doesn't work that way. Nobody sells Boba Fett.

Viola, here is Boba Fett and his ship:

I have plenty of other lovely toys stowed away, as well!

Speeder from The Empire Strikes Back:

TIE Interceptor (Micro Machines):

Blockade Runner:

Luke Skywalker's Speeder:

(note the lever in the middle, looks like a shift lever)

(the button opens the "hood" showing a decal of the guts. The compartment has room to stow things in)

(this part is really neat. The toggle lever inside the cockpit raises and lowers these wheels on springs with very low friction. Essentially turning the hover-mode on and off. It did roll rather like it was hovering, too. Very nice toy)

I have a bunch of other toys, too... including a shoebox full of action figures; but, those are too numerous to photograph, and I've allready shown off my iggest and favorite ones.

I am quite the star wars nerd, really.

The wierd thing is that I can't seem to sit through any of the original trilogy anymore. I've seen them so many times it's just not able to hold my attention anymore.

That doesn't stop me from wanting to do a stint with the 501st legion, though.
