Favorite martial arts movie?

So what's your favorite martial arts movie? I just caught the end of a decent Bruce Li flick on Spike TV, and it put me in the mood to throw another one on and watch it all the way through. I know i've got the 36th Chamber of Shaolin around here somewhere. Really good stuff, but i've seen it a bunch of times.
So, I figure i'll head out to the video store and pick something up. Any suggestions?

Word. I heard that movie had some really great Muy Thai kickboxing scenes. What i'm really looking for is something traditional, though. Something over the top, with wire-fighting and that sort of thing.

Are you talking serious martial arts flicks or that Wu-Tang clan stuff?
If the former: Enter The Dragon
I also like that movie about Bruce Lee (can't remember the name) that came out in the early/mid 90's, but I think I'm the only one or something.

Wu-Tang Clan stuff? Dude, The 36th Chamber was made in 1978. Easily one of the best martial arts movies of all time.
At any rate, I agree on Enter the Dragon. Seen it too many times, though. Drunken Master, too, although it's another one of my favorites.
Eh. I think i'll rent House of Flying Daggers. I heard it was pretty good.

I just meant it was one of those over the top "flying on wires" type deals.
I'm sure anything I name you've probably seen already...

The One Armed Boxer vs The Master of the flying Guillotine.
It sounds silly but it is easily the greatest shaw brothers kung fu flick ever made.
Fist of the White Lotus with pai mei is also a great one. I have a pretty good kung fu collection, i got to try and rewatch them all.

If you can find it The Blind Swordsman Zatoichi was badass. Pretty traditional, no wires or over the top special effects.
Kung Fu Hustle was also pretty amazing. Over the top special effects, and a comedy, but the quality of action still surprised me. definitely worth a rental.
If youre looking for something old Sword of Doom was one of the best 'old' martial arts movies ive seen.
outside of that, i really enjoyed hero and flying dagger. hated ong-bak, no story, horrible acting, poorly coriographed, i finished the second half of the movie in fast forward looking for parts that were worth watching...didnt find any. and of course its hard to go wrong with all old jackie chan, bruce lee, and jet lis stuff

Swordman II and Dragon Inn
You can buy those two and be happy. Always buy the subtitled originals though... they always screw up the audio and music on the dubs.
all the good movies are stuff you can't rent usually anyway unless you live in an area with a high asian population...

Yeah, no one's seen Zatoichi. It's a pretty dope movie. Lots of blood like Ninja Scroll. I thought it was really cool.
Blood Sport's also sweet!
I need to go rent Drunken Master again, Ong Bak (NEVER SEEN IT YET!!!) and so many other movies. I always get stoked at work about renting some cheesy ass kung fu movies but never get around to it. I caught that bruce lee flick on Spike tv as well. My girlfriend even sat down and watched it. She's starting to really like bruce lee movies!!!
