Ive read that you should mix the substrate for each jar separatly. What is the reasoning for not mixing for a bunch of jars at once?

I have heard this argued both ways. I really don't think it matters one way or the other which method you use. Pick one and if it works, stick with it.

One reason given for mixing each jar seperately is that you know exactly how much of each thing went into the jar. When you mix for a lot of jars at once you must be more careful that everything is mixed evenly.

My friend has tried both ways and the only difference she noticed was the time saved mixing everything up at once.

It doesnt matter. I mix all jars in one bowl at once. Make sure to mix the verm and water first and then coat the wet verm with the flour.
