Well if your jars have lasted this long you shouldn't have problems with the nasty green stuff. You may run into trouble with some of the anaerobic nasties but you won't know if you don't try.
I would personally just mix up some new stuff to be sure.

Well oOjohahOo, it seems like we are right on track. I'm just one jar ahead of ya though. I've only got one jar coming through from my first batch and about 8 pressure cooked jars that are growing nothing. It pisses you off that you spent all that time and nothing came out. But the way I see it is, it's kinda like school, you don't like it and you don't wanna go, but its making you smarter and it might pay off in the long run. I just started my second batch Sunday, so I hope they'll do a little better than one fucking jar. Well good luck, and keep me up to date on how everythings going.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't do that oven inoculation again. Since we both did it and got negative effects then I would make a glove box. I posted what mine looks like a few days ago to give you an idea. I think this batch has better hopes than the last.

Yeah, Im going out this evening to get a heating pad, some more vermiculite, and a thermometer/hygrometer. This is will now be my third time mixing up jars and pressure cooking. It's getting to be a pain, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

By the way, when using the ramsey seal, do you think sterility is so much of an issue?
