I know a lot about Xbox modding. I learned it all from http://xbox-scene.com/

The best advice I can give you is get a big hard drive and install Xbox Media Center. Softmod if you want to save money, get a mod chip if you want more flexibility.

ive also modded my xbox, it is not very hard at all, i would give you the link, but it is posted above, go there, and do some reading, it is awesome what you can do with one after it is modded.

My Xbox is already modded with the xecuter2 chip. I have unleashX as my dashboard. I am just looking for someone to help me learn all of this.

I am modded with Xecuter3 (2?) use avalaunch as my dash altho it is long since dropped developement and have xbmc mapped to boot when holding right trigger on power on. also have a 200GB hdd and several apps for telnet, irc, dvd viewing, etc. and shitloads of games. using ccxstream i access the shit-tons of media on my PC. I absolutely love my xbox and have no interest in another console until it can do everything it can plus more.

my next step is to mod it so that i can power it on with a remote.

p.s. wireless controllers are k3y.

p.p.s yeah, i finally got around to updating my xbmc after more than a year. can't say it made a whole lot of difference. last i checked they were in feature-freeze/bug-smash mode.

I installed mine, it wasent too hard, I used a spider chip which is like a chip with like six or seven little wires to put in place, no sodering required, then I just plugged in the main chip ontop of that, which was like called smartxx or something. It was worth the work though, I burn games all the time now.
