My xbox is fucked.

Hi I tried to make xbmc load up as soon as the xbox turned on but I accidentaly deleted some files. What can I do (my computer doesnt even recognize that the xbox is plugged in anymore) its a softmodded original xbox btw.

Get a mod chip? Maybe take the hard drive out and plug it into your computer to put on a new dashboard?

lol...didnt mean to assist you in the demise of your box, look for a disk called slayers, if youve downloaded xbmc, you whould be able to find it, it is a boot disk for xbox, it will install a dashboard for you, evox, xmbc, or avalaunch i think, then you will be able to get into it, it even has a built in FTP so you could use that to install whichever dash you want, but IMO there is no other better than xbmc...

Can I just download all the files again or do I need to softmod it again.(I cant really mod it again because I dont have the money to do that)

Is there no FTP function in your bios? Slayer might work. I have used it before. It might be hard to download. I remember something about going into some IRC channel and getting a password to use on this ftp site that had a bunch of modded xbox files. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

shit, i dont really know how to fix it then, maybe they have come out with a driver for windows to read locked xbox hdd by now, then you could download one and put it in there.

if your not a member register over a xbox-scene.com and post in the forums there, for sure someone will be able to help you...just remember that there are a lot of condescending asshats there and you will be alright...lol

I don't know. Try xbmc and if that doesn't work try using unleashx or evox and see if it works.

I mean it sounds like all you need to do is copy a working xboxdash.xbe. Who knows. I do know that if all else fails you can just pop in a $20.00 mod chip to fix it.
