Actually, I thought I lost about 20 healthy 5 inch  Rustica plants, but 10 of them survived, and came back with even healthier and stronger leaves.
I lost( permanently) 4 cayenne peppers, and a tomato plant.
My garden is doing well... I ate a fresh salad with the spring and herb mix lettuce I am growing. I ate it with fresh picked morels.
I need a camera, seriously, I am itching to show off my garden, and get some feedback.
Soon, maybe.
Garden on, folks. Get dirty, and dig your nails in deep. Be nice to the worms.
Gardens are a life spring . They set me free, and take me to a place where I can be ONE with nature and communicate with the spirits of the plants.
Plants and gardening keep me in shape, and provide food and other items for consumption and gifts to others.

The good thing about exposing your plants to a lot of hardships (frosts, hard sun, possible disease[?], et cetera) is that some will die, and others will appear to die and then come back, and some will just shrug it off. The ones that "die" but come back and the ones that live through it all have stronger genetics, and the seeds from them will be more frost/heat/disease resistant. Sure, you lose some plants, but hey, survival of the fittest. I'd rather have a wrestling team of only 8 people that are the best than have a full line up of 13 with crappy and mediocre wrestlers. Same philosophy here. I don't know, it is hard to relate the concept of Darwinism to society without risking going into the realm of Social Darwinism, or racism. But whatever.

Hell yeah flowie, good saying. I'm just getting into planting gardens for food and/or other purposes, and it's one of the best things around. Hope no more frosts come your way :wink:

I wonder how long it it will take to get my plants acclimatized to my specific climate and seasons. Four years? Ten?
