Quick substrate measurement question.

How touchy are the mushrooms when it comes to substrate measurements? For example, the growing document entitled "Simple Cubensis Growing Techniques" says to use these measurements for 12 jars: 8 cups of vermiculite, 3 cups of brown rice flour, and 3 cups of distilled water. Does this sound right? Any way to optimize these measurements? Is growing mushrooms something you can take liberties with, or do things need to be exact. Just curious. Thanks in advance for any response.

the ratio ive seen most is 2:3:2 - brf:verm:h20. If this is your first time id do things by the book bc you dont know why some of the things are specific as they are.

this would mean for instance
80 ml brf
120 ml vermiculite
80 ml water.

Where did you see this ratio?
