So i just did the 50/50 casing tek. i then put the case in my incubator(TiT). the temp is always 82-83. i keep the temp at 82 until i start to see the mycellium poking through the top layer right? at which point i drop the temperature 10 degrees and introduce 12 hours of light a day to initiate pinning. does this sound about right?

don't forget about fresh air exchange...pinning starts when Co2 levels drop. Other than that though...sounds pretty good. Keep us posted on your progress Mycelium will start to pop through in about four days at which point I would recommend patching, then waiting another two days.

You have a fish pump in your TiT right? If so there is your fresh air exchange...

i have a fish heater in my TiT. on the floor of the upper tub, on the inside, i have an airpump that pumps air from the bottom to the outside through two hoses (to pump out C02). then on the outside i have the same exact pump pumping two hoses of fresh air into the TiT. each pump does 2500cc of air a minute i believe it was. after my calculations, if theyre correct, new air is introduced to my TiT 5 times every hour.

so if i put the hoses of an airpump into a cup of water, that would supply sufficient humidity? is there any special adapter i have to buy for the end of the tubing?

You dont need air exchange when you are incubating the casings. Air exchange causes pinning. You need to get the myc to recover and hit the surface.
Incubate it till it starts to poke through. Patch it, put it back and wait a day. Take it out the next day, maybe lightly patch again and introduce fruiting.

dont you need air exchange when incubating jars? i thought it was a drop in heat and light that initiated pinning.

when incubating jars you do not need very much air exchange.
3 things are typically associated with triggering pinning: 1) fresh air exchange 2) introduction of light 3) reduction of temps.

yeah i was just reading some casing teks and they said reduction in C02 levels initiates pinning. i had my pumps going the whole time i was incubating my PF jars. for some reason the pumps seemed to help.

PF jars cannot get a lot of air anyway. But from what I read...the little amount of air that it does get (by using a filtered lid) helps considerably. I don't think that your pump hurt anything.
