What are your predictions for Iran?

If we go, what do you think the effect will be? Will there have to be another draft? Will our economy be able to withstand it? What other effects will it have? Are we being lied to at all about Iran like we were Iraq? Is Iraq a good reason for Iran to feel threatened by us and therefore want us dead?

If the US does attack Iran, I can almost guarantee you that it will be an air strike only. There wouldn't be a ground invasion at all.

we'll drop some bombs on them or the israelis will. they might sick hezbollah on us, but hopefully not. our leverage in preventing that would be the threat of a lot more bombs.

I think Iran could hurt the USA pretty bad through terrorism. Iran is tough and the US dosn't want to piss them off. No attack.

I really hope the Israel shit doesn't happen. Bush will do the absolute least responsible thing and immediately hail it as some sort of righteous holy blow for humanity. Another 100 years of easy justification for Mid East violence. Makes us look like the fucking culprit.

What makes you think they aren't already doing their best? They ship explosives to Iraq and have done everything else they could to assist any whack job in the world who wants to kill us.

I believe air raids from Israel could trigger more severe consequences...

I think Iran could/would strike back at Israel. But if it was the USA doing the bombing, it would be suicidal to conflict with US soldiers in Iraq or whatever other insane strategy they would have against the world's remaining superpower.

Iran is not exactly a third world shit hole. the US has been fucking with them since after WWII with the Shah and always backing the Shah. He was fake and installed at the age of 26-28. The CIA removed Mohammed Mossadegh, the prime minister, to help secure the Shah and the OIL. Mohammed Mossadegh was VERY popular, think Gahndi of Iran.
This is way before the Embassy, and the US then giving weapons (maybe chemical) to IRAQ (so we knew they did have them!) to use against Iran.

Having said all that. They can't get nuclear weapons, and its not that much more from nuclear fuel, or weapons grade. Not to mention some Low grade with some ammonium nitrate downtown.

After watching that video you posted I can see why. Nobody in the USA military would seriously think about a ground attack there right now because their troops are already spread out pretty thin. Gorilla tactics have done huge amounts of damage to the US forces in Iraq and to go into Iran where they use that tactic as a part of their military and in huge numbers would be a disaster. I don't think you will see the US mass troups on the ground in Iran.....

There won't be a war with Iran for a couple years. If Iran does develop the bomb then everyone in the mid east will want one. What's the chances of them using nuclear weapons on each other?
