Making your Mother Cry...
    #5413428 -

Has got to be one of the worst feelings ever.  And God knows I've given her reasons to cry over the years...

Ijust had to go over there and explain to her why I wasnt in school this semester, how I had fucked up some financial aid for next semester and how I need to spend this semester and all summer working 2 jobs to make sure I have enough to go back next fall.

All she kept saying was how dissapointed she is, and how she thoguht I could do better than this.  And cried.  And Cried, And Cried.

I'm her only kid, so I can see where she's coming from.  I guess she's having a pretty bad time of it herself, and I was trying to keep this from her for awhile.

But man....Like I didnt feel bad enough.  Now I feel like a total shit-bag, 'cause I left my Mom standing in the kitchen crying.  I couldnt even look at her anymore, or I was going to start bawling like a little kid.  So fuck.

Some kind of fucking asshole I am.

It sucks so much because no matter how much you tell them otherwise they thinks it their fault and blame themselves.

Thats exactly it, dude. Its like, I told her 20 times that its my fuck up, its completely my fault, and I'd make it right...

But its like you say, she doesnt even hear that. She just wonders what she could have done...

The first thing I remember knowing,
Was a lonesome whistle blowing,
And a young un's dream of growing up to ride;
On a freight train leaving town,
Not knowing where I'm bound,
No-one could change my mind but Mama tried.
One and only rebel child,
From a family, meek and mild:
My Mama seemed to know what lay in store.
Despite all my Sunday learning,
Towards the bad, I kept on turning.
'Til Mama couldn't hold me anymore.

And I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole.
No-one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried.
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied.
That leaves only me to blame 'cos Mama tried.

Instrumental break.

Dear old Daddy, rest his soul,
Left my Mom a heavy load;
She tried so very hard to fill his shoes.
Working hours without rest,
Wanted me to have the best.
She tried to raise me right but I refused.

And I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole.
No-one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried.
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied.
That leaves only me to blame 'cos Mama tried

Even thinking about it hurts me. My mom crying when she caught me. She seemed so...helpless. So desperate. So...lost. And she felt(if she was faking this when she said it, she deserves 3 oscars and free oral sex for life) that it was her fault and that she was a horrible mother. There was nothing I could do. She was on my bedroom floor, hitting the floor, crying out how she fucked up so horribly, and how she was sorry for being such a horrible mother. She went downstairs and my sister and I had no idea what to do. It was just so horrible. I feel so bad.

Yea, making your mom cry is likely to be one of the worst feelings one can get, if you have a great mother. It is guilt, depression...everything. But at 10 times worse than you thought was possible...
Sorry to everyone who has had to deal with similar, and sorry to those of you who may have to sometime.

The only time my mom cried over me was when I was born. She always remnded me that :

A) She didn't want to get pregnant

B) When she accepted that she was pregnant, she wanted a girl

C) She ended up with me, whom she has hated since the moment I broke out of the uterus.

I don't feel so bad for making her cry, and I haven't seen/spoken to her in over 13 years.

So is life.

Man, my mom will cry at the drop of a dime, but it hurts me to see it, every time. Just make sure you do the right thing, or she will cry, again.
