I cant help really.I imagine you could let the top half callous over and plant it.Or what your doing sounds like the best idea.Maybe someone else can be a better help.I just want to know how the hell you cut the top half off.

I can't really picture what you're describing.

You could make a number of grafts from the top part, the bottom will sprout new heads if you left enough on there. Your grafting it back to itself won't work unless you have nice clean cuts.

What's this about rescuing the pedro?

how the hell did i cut it off? well, i'll explain it for fun and also because it may help for getting some help.- like i said the san pedro was agonizing (dont know how, i gave it water and shit, i suppose im not good with babies) so it was getting a bit compressed and dry (ergo, harder), this condition was transfered to the peyote also, but it only reached the bottom part. as you can see, it was vry fcuking easy to just clean cut the peyote in half using only one of those big headphones falling over it.

how can i make "a number of grafts?" with only the top half? i think the cut was clean enopugh to make it go back to its original state i hope. any more thoughts?

also, what could be wrong with my cactus maintenance? i give it water every week or so, depends on the time of the year and while it doesnt receive too much sun it still gets enough light in my opinion.
ok thats all thanks for your help.

I got you up until headphones making a clean cut... I really don't get that. Other than a clean cut right at the point it was grafted at maybe.

Anyway, look up areole grafts, each areole, or tuft could become a new plant, if successfully grafted.

excuse me, english is not my first language. I meant that a big headphone fell over the graft, cutting the upper half of the peyote. This peyote in particular has a phallus shape so it was easy for it to be cut by the impact, especially if one part was dry and the other moist. I hope you understand now.

i lack skills at gardening, i dont think i'd be able to do that aerola graft thing.

How much water are you giving it every week? Is this indoors or outdoors? If in a pot, are you using a well drained soil? Have you checked to see if any leprachauns are sneaking in during full moons and dancing the night away? Any further information on your situation could help us to answer your questions.

Don't sweat it. When you say "sometimes 2", do you mean sometimes twice a week, sometimes 2 cc, or was it a typo and you meant 20 cc? How big is the pot? Maybe it is rootbound(or whatever it is called when the pot is too small and the roots get all tangled and can't work well)?

the pot is a LOT bigger than the cactus. I usually apply 20cc more or less, never had a problem with that quantity until now.

Me? I know very little here. I am trying to get more information from you so that anyone who knows anything about this can understand what you are talking about more clearly. I am just interested in knowing your problem so I can try and stop it early, if anything similar happens to my cacti.
