No. Can be irritating to skin with prolonged contact, but tinctures less than 10% in strength, are considered antiseptic (safe for external use on animals). Don't drink it or throw it in your eyes, and you should be safe. Most of the solutions are either ethanol or propanol, with acetone sometimes added. The color is a great indicator of application, and may have some residual contamination protection after the alcohol has evaporated.

Not to mention the colorization will create almost permanent stains.
