How does one go about doing this?

I know there are studies done all the time.

I would very much like to participate in these studies.

Anybody ever been a professional guinea pig?

large cities often have free "weekly" papers, think- la weekly, sf guardian, etc ... the back of these mags often ahve the get paid ads- or you can search online for research disussion and medical groups, often one company does a lot of researching for others ... when you find one, it may be what youre looking for.

but why? usually they want you to have some compatible illness (diabetes, addictions, hiv, etc) .. why screw with your regimen? donate plasma or sperm if you wanna go the med route of making $... gluck

If you're looking to take a fun drug like acid or shrooms then good luck. Other than a DMT study recently there haven't been human psychedelic studies since the 60's. And since the FDA believes drugs can have no benefit unless you have deleterous symptoms you'd probably need a disease of some sort to qualify. Good luck though and tell me if you find any :)

They test on all SORTS of psychedelics, am I wrong?

But this is a very good question.

How can one volonteer to be a guinea pig for MAPS??

This is a retarded idea IMO
Yes you get some free drugs.
But you have to sit there the entire duration of the high/trip with them analyzing you.
They probably test blood test and other crap
Personally, I don't see where the fun in this would be

You can ussually donate sperm to sperm banks, the problem is that most sperm banks take the sperm using a needle inserted into the scrotum/testicles(there are some that still get it the old fasioned way). From what I've seen it's generally $100-$300 a pop. Once they've got it, they freeze it until there is someone that wants it based on your description(often it's anonymous) or until the sperm die(something like a month, although I'm not 100% sure about that). I have a friend that's donating at some place up in Northern Virginia and it's scary(since he's such a fuck up) to think that there will be little versions of him running around.

Sperm is not stored in your testicles. I think its stored in the Vas Defrens, or something. It's prodused in the testicles then goes to the Vans thingy. There is no sperm stored in your testicles/nutsack. Sticking a needle in you nut sack is a farse. I once had a Q-Tip stuck up my peepee hole to test for VD's when I was in boarding school. Now that deserves an OWWWWWW! The nurse "jacks" your dick a little to get it semi or fully errect...At least she did to me. Supposed to ease the Q-Tip insertion process... Talk about a tease and a let down...OWWWWWW!

So it may be they stick the needle in below the scrotum to get to the Vas Defrens, all I know is that I went to a local sperm bank and was asked if I was needle shy, because that's how they take it. Needless to say, I didn't need or want the money that much. Can you really blame me for not sticking around to see exactly where it's taken from?

That would be Rick Strassmans Psilocybine project.

However, I doubt they would take someone named Just a Punk for drug research. The name would keep you away and generally drugs are given as mentioned above to someone with a disabilitating disease or to college kids through a psychology program to try new anti-psychotics and tranquilizers. Not too someoneo off the street who wants to try new drugs.

If you were a lucky pwerson then you could have know Alexander and Ann Shulgin. They invented over 200 drugs made from amphetamines, primarily the mescaline molecules from Peyote and other cactus. every week for more than 205 years they would holdweekly meetings at their home in Lafayette, California and test the new products on their friends and they write about it in their books Pikall and Tikal.

Drug research on psychoactive drugs is somewhat limited and is not open to the general public.

I will soon put online here at the shroomery a tale opf someone who actually parrticipated ion A controled environmental drug Research progream for Psilocybine. This person was totally bothered by doctors, who, every ten or 15 minutes wanted blood or blood pressure, temperature, etc. and it began to irritate hime after a while since he realized the doctors examinging him during his trip were totally stupid in regards to what they were doing on him.

I am in med school and we just read about how sperm is now taken directly from the testes to ensure sterility. Seminal fluid is produced in the prostrate and moved through the vas defrens but sperm cells are made in the testes and are only moved to the vas defrens during ejaculation.
