Iron Chef - Whats so good about it?

So I don't live in the States and haven't caught it before but theres a torrent site with loads of episodes on it.

So whats so good about Iron Chef?  :confused: I've heard loads of people talk about it online...

the japanese version is funnier/better.. even though i have no idea what theyre saying

It is OK if you catch it while flipping through channels, but if you spend hours downloading it you will be severly disappointed.

Yep, it's great. I catch the Japanese version every night at 3am when I'm trying to go to sleep.

The american version sucks. The Japanese version is great for the bad voice-overs.

japaneese version is biased, they let sakai win every time- but the shows are still more entertaining than the american ones

the best part to me is the very beginning when they reveal the secret ingredient.

seeing a huge pile of thousands of dollars of food is neat.

and i like when they start digging into it.

the rest of the show is like any other cooking show, to me.
