    #5296155 -

ok guys its finally here my 10x salvia from shamans palace.

They also send along a free gift with every order... well they sent me 4 EXTRA gifts... i was really surprised... this place is awesome!

my only complaint is that the salvia came in a mini ziplock... i was hoping for a little glass jar because their just extra cool ya know?

but anyways... the following is what i also recieved... i know nothing about them... so if you guys could help me out and tell me exactly what they are.. what they do... and if any of you have tried them... they are as follows:

1)petunia violacea - shanin argentina - free seeds

2)sacred lotus - standardized 5x extract

3)peganum harmala - syrian rue seeds

4)sacred lotus - nelumbo nuctfera stamen

i typed them exactly how they are spelled on the labels.

any thoughts?

thanks!

Syrian Rue is an MAOI sometimes used to potentiate a trip, but i hear it can be an interesting trip on its own. Lotus, i believe is a mild euphoriant, never heard of the first one.

It's a compound that stops certain enzymes for metabolizing chems like serotonin, psyilocybin, and dmt.

an MAOI is one half of ayahuasca.

some guy wrote a story on erowid about him doing blue lotus and salvia and how salvia breaks the world apart and blue lotus puts it back together... he said they were the two parts of the code.

i hope the "sacred lotus extract" i have is in fact from the "blue lotus" does anyone know for sure?

also has anyone tried blue lotus (sacred lotus) and salvia together?

what about just blue lotus separatly?

i just looked at the picture of dried blue lotus that is sold commercially on erowid.. and mine looks similar... but does not have the purple or yellow parts of the flower like on erowid... its just a bunch of brown looking stuff.

any thoughts?

Syrian rue is an M.A.O.I. (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) about 3 to 5 grams of crushed/ground seeds can be used to acheive an ihibition of the enzyme in your stomache which breaks down certain chems. It (the enzyme) also breaks down tyramine which is found in many aged foods, beer, wine, cheese, sausage and when this is inhibited eating food high in tyramine will cause a tyramine overdose to accour and this can be very unpleasent, heart racing, vomiting, headache...ect.

MAOI's enhance psycedelics, it is to be used with caution. They can be eaten by themselves, but it in no way makes an "interesting" trip by themselves, in fact it is most unpleasent. Best taken with DMT, Mescaline, or Mushrooms.

Many people would disagree about them not being interesting by themselves. SOme would think that is an ignorant point of view. Its not a very typical hallucinogen though, thats for sure.

It potentiates trips on Psychedelic Tryptamines. It requires a specific diet if you dont want to die or have a horrible time.
Dmt and maois = ayahuasca, (possibly the most breathtaking hallucinogen known to man). Though in some cultures they only use maois, which if taken in the right amounts can range from sedative/hypnotic, to intensely hallucinogenic(massive tracers for example, so intense in its own way that it is not meant to be taken for fun)

To rephrase what elger said, It's a compound that stops certain enzymes that metabolize chems like serotonin, psilocybin, and dmt.

So if you eat another hallucinogen like mushrooms or dmt in particulare, it does not potentiate the maoi, the maoi potentiates the tryptamine.
Eating it with mushrooms for example, makes the mushrooms FAR more intense, they last longer, and there is an extra element of depth due to the maoi being active in its self.
2.5 grams of rue is enough to inhibit the enzymes fully. Dmt plants are not orally active, but are VERY active when taken with an maoi.
I have years of experience and do believe that maois are one of the most important hallucinogens. They are not to be used for your typical laughy-good time. They are way too effective and are not to be joked around with.
I have tripped for weeks after a 2 day session with ayahuasca. Thats how serious this drug can be. Some shamans believe that maois are the spirit of ayahuasca, and the dmt is only used to add intensity, color and depth to the visions.

Well said. Don't even bother with mushrooms, I say. Unless you've done it with something else and really appreciate what it has to offer.

Works well with cactus if you want to eat less cactus, but it takes away from the whole clarity of the trip, which really makes it pointless to me. Additionally, cacti contain tyramine. Perhaps enough to make you feel uncomfortable.

DMT is the main thing. It won't do anything without an MAOI orally.

i have mushrooms so i would probably take the syriun rue with the mushrooms since dmt is not readily available to me.. and i have yet to get to the level of my own extractions.

so i just go to erowid and follow their directions on making an extract of the syrian rue seeds?

i seen one recipe that uses lemon juice... already sounds like a winner!

another question... how did they extract these chemcials back in the old days when the tribes were around and all this modern tech wasnt?

wait i just re-read where stemmer said it works on psychedelic tryptamines... which i know are dmt shrooms and ayauwaska <--- i know i spelled that wrong.

so that answers my question about an MAOI with lsd.
