Jar temps and Terrarium info

Yes I'm a newbie and I have searched this site as well as the web. I have a measure twice cut once train of thought. I have an All American 915 pressure cooker coming as well as a few spore syringes coming from The Hawks Eye, that?s all I have at this point. My main points of reference are at http://www.angelfire.com/in/fonzsfungus/ and http://www.thehawkseye.com/mmgg/mmgg.htm. I will be using rice cakes.
What I do need to know is what temp the jars need to be kept at during colonization.
The other question is about terrariums. Both my reference points have plans but are fairly high maintenance. Something self contained and low maintenance is what I'm looking for. Complicated is fine as I can build most anything. The terrarium will be kept in a 70-degree room with about 70 percent humidity. My concerns are humidity, temp, light and anything else I may not be aware of. If you have plans or suggestions or questions please feel free to e-mail me. I hope to get it right the first time!
Thanks!

Try to warm your colonizing jars up a bit, to around 82 degrees.
When birthing, your 70 degree room is fine but you'll want to up the humidiity in your terrarium a bit. You can do this easily by using a hand myster. As long as there is moisture on the inside walls of your terrarium, the humidity is about 90%. If casing your cakes, high humidity in your terrarium is not as big a concern because the cakes will be drawing moisture from the casing.
Once your shrooms start growing, you might want to raise the temp to around 78. High humidity is again, not needed when they are growing. Just don't let it get dry.
I hope this helps, good luck!

The first link you have listed(fonz) is a joke! It is a ripoff
of the MMGG, and it is wrong! If you follow it and
throw your cakes away after the first flush, you'll
probably throw away more shrooms than you
harvest. A good starting site is www.fanaticus.com
I couldn't get the second link(MMGG) to work but it is
definately a worthwhile guide. If it doesn't work
for you either, PM me and I will give you another
site to find it.
Perlite is the cheapest method of producing
humidity but not the lowest maintainence because
of misting/fanning and it get's nasty. The MMGG
shows detailed plans of building a terrarium
using ultra-soinc/coolspray humidifiers and a
good timer, a little more cost, but much lower
maintainence. Hope that helps! Good luck!

Hey, you seem to know about humidification tek.
Ive heard the cool mists are not good to use, but i dont know why this was said. I bought one anyway, they are cheap, quiet, offer invisible mist, and mine even has a humidistat!
Is this why you put yours on a timer? or is it because you're runing it from outside the terrarium inside? mine is sitting directly inside (i have a 4x6x6' terr)
Opinions??

Man that's a big terrarium! My humidifier is on the outside.
As it blows humidity into the top, it forces co2 out the
bottom. It uses 7/16 tubing through 2-liter bottles to
diffuse the larger water droplets out of the air. The
directions for this is in the MMGG. With a terrarium that
big you shouldn't have to worry about co2 buildup, I
use two coolers. Sounds like you're right on top of it!
Have you built your incubator yet? They're cheap
and easy! PM me if you need to. Hope that helps!
Good luck!
