I never heard of anyone smoking cactus before. freebased mescaline is unstable , mescaline sulfate and hcl cant be smoked , maybe if you make mescaline carbonate (just make freebase and let it react with air) you can smoke it but its probably not worth it

even if you smoked pure mescaline. you would need to smoke alot of material. who ever told you they smoke peyote lied or else it was some sort of sacrement and not to get high.
man seriously your posting to many dumb questions and everyoen here would appreciate if you would spend a little bit of time doing your own research. ie erowid.

"Smoking - Peyote will burn after it has been well dried and powdered. It is then usually smoked in combination with marijuana. It is supposed to result in a light, lovely high that sharpens vision without causing a strong trip. High heat may destroy some of the alkaloids however" http://www.erowid.org/plants/cacti/cacti_guide/cacti_guide15.shtml hmm maybe thats why i asked if it can be vaporize if you havent notice i ask questions erowid and other sites dont answer i understand that i wont make you trip balls, but what are the effects i like to make smoking blends and i was wondering if it would be a good additive they say smoking yopo seeds doesnt do shit but i put it in my blend and it did shit i like to make meditation blends that have good visuals

"really i have heard of smoking peyote many times"
I see the link you gave. Even though it's on erowid, it's bullshit.
It's some prep guide by some other idiot that they posted up. At one time, cacti information was hard to come across, theres a lot of dated, incorrect material on erowid.
As said before, anything done with peyote that isn't eating it is usually just a sacrament, not a trip. Pure mescaline is another matter. Snorting it is said to hurt, but work really quickly. Slamming it works, and I don't know about smoking, but it probably isn't worth the loss.

in that case ill just throw 3g in a bag of my mix i make crazy blends a good one is rue wormwood and cannabis that gives a pain killer body feeling, super relaxed pot high with chillness of pain killers, and vivid colours like your tripping like an old shirt with faded colours would look new

That sounds kind of reckless, but I suppose that's your perogative.
You're using a trichocereus cactus, right? Because due to the rarity of peyote I'd have to say it's kind of a waste to use any peyote that way. It's not efficient at all and the peyote would have much better uses

Hrm, well let us know what the flavor of peruvian torch smoke is.
I would imagine it might not be very good, since the cactus itself tastes like drinking a mixture of rancid food and some sort of industrial detergent. But perhaps the smoke tastes better than the cactus itself (after all, tobacco might taste bad when chewed, but can taste quite nice when smoked. So cactus could be that way as well)

Be careful when dealing with the cactus powder. The stuff I get is extremely fine and the slightest contact with my eyes will cause an extreme allergic reaction. Just the other day I took out a jar of the powder to take a picture for someone and it must have had some powder around the rim of the lid. I didn't even open the jar, but while I was doing this I must have touched my eyes and man I wish I hadn't of done that. My eyes got all puffy and started to watter for about three hours. They itched like I had just wiped my eyes with poison ivy. It was terrible.
If I happen to inhale any of the powder through my nose(and I mean just whatever small particles that could be floating in the air after I open the container), I get a sinus reaction that is horrendous. My nose closes up and stays that way for a week. It's like there's concrete in there.
Whenever I have to work with this powder, I use safety goggles and a dust mask. I also put cotton in my nostrils as an extra safety precaution.

Cacti do cause strange reactions, even more so than any ol' powder in the eyes.
I know I've gotten pricked by spines on certain cacti, and developed pretty temporary, but very annoying rashes.
