Morning glories and deer

Hey all, This upcoming year will be my first year farming, I had a question.
I am planning on fencing my garden off from the deer, now I wanted to know if planting some morning glories along the fence to cover it, would infact welcome more deer?
The fence style I am choosing to use is an outward angled design, it isnt as tall as straight up fences but I read that the angled fence spooks deers. I also planned on covering it with chicken wire and digging a trench and sticking it down a couple feet for the marmots. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks
Ryan

If the garden is fenced, the deer can't get in anyways so morning glories on the fence would make no difference. But growing morning glories is cool and can attract good insects to the garden so go for it. Not to mention the heavenly blue varriety of MG is pshycoactive

Ya but be very very careful those suckers can soon become a weed I don't know if I would plant those suckers near a garden area.

What? I would make wassabi from weeed overgrow of any plant with a machete in seconds. Hell, it would be SWEET if they took over as a weed. I would let them.. and sell the extra seeds, and sow them everywhere too. Then when I got angry I would hack some more away with my swords.

Yeah thats a good point, thanks for that. I know they do grow crazy, I had some growing a couple years back, they stuck to the fence mostly as it supported the growth and I also just turned outgrowing tips inwards. Have any other suggestions for a good climbing plant that is either good for attracting beneficials or repelling pests?

You sound like you don't have an idea of exactly how invasive morning glories are. You want plenty of clearance between a morning glory vine and your garden, because they WILL spread if they can.. and they can regrow from small peices cut off of the vine.
So, by hacking one to bits with a machete you'd be scattering new morning glory plants all over your garden, where they would do a pretty damn good job of trying to get themselves dug in and fortified.
Morning glories are so invasive and grow so fast that a few states in the US have made it illegal to cultivate them. And it has nothing to do with their psychoactive properties, it's purely because they can rapidly strangle off other plant life.

Thanks for the suggestion, although I feel that it would grow well as an annual here, I dont think it would survive the winter and Im also thinking it may be a bit more picky than the good old morning glory in terms of attention.
Konnrade has a good point, they can get outta hand in a hurry, Im not too concerned as I will be in the garden each day making sure they dont take over my babies
Thanks for all the responses all
