I've only heard Orchid and Ghost Reveries, but they both kicked ass.

Its impossible to pick one. Depends on my mood. If I want something chill, Damnation. Something heavy, Deliverance, something brutal, My Arms, Your Hearse. All around awesome, Blackwater Park and Still Life.
I've been addicted to Ghost Reveries since it got released however.

you've heard the first and last!
in between is where the good stuff's at.
i, myself, would have to choose Blackwater Park for sheer brutality reasons.

i haven't listened to ghost reveries yet but i have listened to the rest, and i have to say that damnation is my favorite. there metal is amazing but i think it's their softer songs that really shows off their abilities as musicians.

I'd have to say Orchid. I love all of their albums, but that one has always been my favorite. I'd say after that it goes Morningrise. Black Rose Immortal...what a song. After that, it's impossible for me to pick. Except Ghost Reveries is probably last....

Morningrise I guess, it's the first CD I bought. (I think it might have been because the store didn't carry Orchid though...)

Blackwater....the first time I heard it I was blown away, the last time I heard it I was blown away. Morningnrise comes a close second though.

It isn't a matter of over looking it, we know GR is class work. Heck, it's their best produced album ever, IMO. But some of us are still picking our jaw from the ground after being subjected to the massive power from their previous material.

i've decided ghost reveries is the worst album and Opeth should stop making albums.

between the first 5 albums it's basically a roll of the dice
but i had to go with MAYH cause I knew BWP would pick up some votes anyway
that and the fact it's a mind blowing album
i still can't get into ghost reveries either
