White stuff on pins?

I am mega happy right now! my cakes! Which I have been posting about not pinning are pinning on more than just one cake. I have discovered 5 pins so far I am sure many mre will follow. But the thing I don't get is they are coming out with white stuff on top of them? they are PF Hawaii, should they look like they have white stuff on them? Is it mycillium, I heard something about that being a sign it is too cold or something I have temp at 79 degree F. I want it warm enough for growth but cold enough for pins. I am doing right?

white stuff could also mean too much mosture, or not enough or something, but who cares. i say just let them grow. MAybe someone else will have a better awnser

Does it have something to do with humidity? I made a Ultrasonic set up, like the one in MMGG but i only used 2 coke bottles inbetween my terrarium and the humidifier. the air didn't seem wet enough. Was that stupid newbie retardedness? Well if it was tell me.

I currently have a MMGG humidifiery set up with only 2 coke bottles in between the ultrasonic and the styrofoam terrarium. I got it from a whole sale fish place, cleaned it up and converted it. I have no drip shield. And for heat I have a fish tank heater in an empty glass jar which seems to work well.

I have been very nerotic about fanning my Shrooms, so I'll stop being such a nut. THX.

how big are the pins? almost every pin i've had so far has had "white stuff" on the top and it just kinda grew out of it. some of them just have white markings and such. i wouldn't mess with anything for a few days and see how they progress.

yeah it's because of humidity. wont hurt anything! If they get to large and still white stuff on caps. the humidity is to high. you may have to put and extra bottle into you humidifier setup. or air it out manually a few times to reduce it!

Humidity ay? Well I will make a through inspection today.
So if they grow up and still have white stuff on them the humidity is too high? ok got it. And I am using one less 2 liter bottle than they suggest, so it figures.
