I dont know if this is much help but....I am using a cool mist ultrasonic humidifier and noticed it was producin to much humidty in my terarium and so I decided to create a restricter for it trial and error trial and oh yes error and finially I used a 20oz pop bottle made three pin holes in it by heating a sewin needle and pushin through the side that would be facing the cakes or casings so not only would it produce a small stream of cool 80% humidty on it all but help move CO2 off of it too ...It also stop a dripping from the hose that runs into the aquarium from condensation in the hose .(which brought concern of possible contam bath puddle) the 20oz acts as a collector for the dripas well as a restrictor for a 80%constant humidty and moves CO2 out of chamber ...For more questions about my chamber just ask I constructed a hepa sealed chamber that takes care it self I like to call it (shroom-nany) its fool proof so far I ot pics too so ask ask ask peace!

I would say don't use one with a wick. I got one that apparently uses a wick because it actually dries out the air. I had major problems with my most recent crop because i thought my humidity gage was wrong (it said 50!!!). Finally i put down some perilite. Now with the humidifier off humidity is 99% and with it on it is 90% so be careful.

Ultrasonics aren't Coolmists , even if the manufacturer says one is. Ultrasonics produce a lot of humidity, and little air exchange (shroomgod went over that).
Coolmists use either a disk or a wick. The wick ones do not work for many people. Of course, you can try it and see since so many things in this hobby depend on your particulars. If you really want something that works for nearly everyone, get a coolmist with a spinning disk. It will work with just a little fine tuning.

PM me with any cultivation questions. I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.
