Why do you choose the cacti you grow?
    #5232029 -

Question: WHy do you choose to grow the particular species of cacti that you grow? Why Pedro instead of Peruvian? Why others?

I grow backeberg pachanoi because I know what it is. If you get a peruvianoid, you won't have the slightest clue. Bridgesii is a reliable, easy to identify one though. I will have some soon...

You're not like the others. You like the same things I do. Wax paper, boiled football leather... dog breath. We're not hitch-hiking anymore, we're riding!

But, by the end of the year I'll have at least a half dozen more species.

I have 10 pedro, i just really like them, and a friend gave me 9, 6 inchers. It'll be great when they're really huge. I'm probably getting a Trich. peruvianus x pachanoi soon, they're pretty neat. I'd love to grow bridgesii and loph's aswell. I'll probably get some non-actives soon too, i seen some really nice tiny ones at a nursery today. They have these 10ft. pedros they've had for years, and they're selling them for 500 bucks for about 70ft. worth (in one pot). We might purchase them in the spring :p
