Do spore prints last longer than syringes?

10 months ago when I was really eager to grow shrooms, I made the mistake of ordering my spores first because I thought I'd have everything ready by the time they got here. Well I was lucky to get two syringes, plus a spore print for $15, and that's with shipping.

I guess the down side to getting it so cheap, is that the syringe needles were broke off or something, but eventually I figure out that I could just break off the broken peice at the tip of the syringe, and the needle screws right in. Unfortunately, about 2 cc's leaked out of the syringes during shipping, and I can't remember if I even washed my hands before handling the syringes.

Anyway, should I try using the 10-month-old, possibly contaminated syringes to inoculate my jars, or should I just use the spore print?

I have spores from nearly two years ago that still work. I have a spore collection that is over 5 years in the makeing and the spores seem to work. Some times i get a contam but you never know what to blame that on.

Spores last forever. I'd know my car was filled with them when I first bought it. Man and they are still there.,><><><><
