PERLITE Contamination?

My perlite has been in the terrarium for almost a month. I occasionally put Hydrogen Peroxide in to reduce contams. I noticed today that there are some very small, brown spots on some of the perlite. Is this contamination? My cakes are not sitting directly on the perlite, but are sitting on plastic lids. Is there a strong chance my cakes could get contaminated? And will using more peroxide help?

Clean your terrarium with bleach and replace the perlite, you don't want to take any chances playing with contams near your cakes.
