My Great Uncle Was Schizophrenic - Should I Do Shrooms?

I know most of you would say no for sure, but he was the only person in my family ever to have it, so I don't think that makes it a family history and he got it from a nervous breakdown he had not because he had it naturally. So would it be okay if I did shrooms?

If you do i would start with a low dose of mushrooms, 1-2 grams dried. Then maybe work your way up from there.

Normally i would actually say your fine to trip because schizophrenia is sporadic in which person it chooses next (it follows no particular order, genetically speaking), but because your great uncles condition was caused by a mental breakdown, it could be linked to some other mental disorder that runs in your family; one that doesn't cause schizophrenia directly, but increases your chances significantly.
So, considering the fact that shrooms can and will cause mental breakdowns, and your great uncle's schizophrenia was caused by such a breakdown, and taking into consideration the possibility that the breakdown was caused by a genetic mental disorder, i would recommend that you either (a) refrain from using psychedelics or (b) do some heavy research on your great uncle's condition and report back here with your findings.
