To pressure cook or not ? (BRF)
    #511558 - 01/05/02 09:25 PM (22 years, 2 months ago)

There is all this talk about just boiling BRF jars but what about pressure cooking them? I did mine for 20 minutes and i am now wondering if i killed any of the nutrients in there?? My jars are colonizing a little slow but it hasnt been that long since i started. Also i did some Myco-Bags and they are colonizing weird....on top there were this little balls of substrate and mycelium...any one have this happen...i shook them up a little to distribute it around.

I pressure cook my brf and dark rye flour jars about 1 hour everytime I grow. Works beautifully so don't worry about nutrient loss. And as of date, I have never lost a jar using flour as a substrate PCing for that period of time.

Peace
