"70% of the population who are Extroverted and who crave/need socialization to get through the day.

I was living on an island fixing up a house and the folks who owned the lot next door arrived and mentioned building seeing as we had made the place look so good.

He was a successfully lawyer with two teens and I told them that there was no way to go to the store on a whim (because of ferry schedule) and no way to get to the hospital in a hurry.

The thing was with all there success and living on the beach near hospitals restaurants and shopping, it wasn't enough.

I had a friend who lived in Daytona beach, he was thinking of moving to Prince Edward Island, I told him that every one in the world knows the word Daytona Beach and everyone in the world envy's you for living there (except people in Florida maybe) but it isn't enough.

i can see myself becoming more reclusive the more i learn.Alhough i plan to dedicate myself to " the people " i find it akward to be a human, myself. i believe that i read people extremely well, although at the same time i try not to generalize or sterotype. Humans( esp americans ) can be such a bother. I want to help society but im unsure if there are underlying motives..
Is it so bad to be alone ? to enjoy the arts of humanity whilst ignoring the humans ?
no, i dont like people either.. They are interesting to observe yet once i join them i become them. i see myself change my speaking , emulate my surroundings, etc.
at least i can take solace in the others who are like me .
so choosing to be alone is the only time i feel i can be me.
now the problem becomes ' what to do with all this time ' ?

Social anxiety isn't any fun, and there's no magic pill you can take to cure it (though MDMA can do this temporarily, it's up to you to extend and integrate what you learn into your daily life). MDMA helped show me reasons why I had social anxiety, and how to deal with them.

The only sure-fire way to get beyond it is to force yourself to be social (that is, if that's what you want for yourself). Even if it's painful at first. As you're coming out of the proverbial social shell, things like xanax and alcohol and nicotine may be helpful. They've helped me, for sure.

So you have two options, well three actually.

1. Become more social, and enjoy it
2. Stay as you are, and enjoy it.
3. Stay as you are, and beat yourself up, wishing you were more social.

Number 3 does absolutely no good and a whole lot of bad, so I would recommend against it

Best of luck man :sun:

MDMA helps to exute the beauty that is always there ( in society ).. but if it takes a drug to exute it and that beauty only shows itself rarely ( while sober ) whats the point..

Probably why rich people lock themselves away. (I can't imagine what they did with themselves without the net)

To learn how to always see it, even when sober.

people are freaked out - one by the other. that's, in my opinion, just where its at, and its been this way long before I was..and way before you arrived here too.

avoid focus of it. find as peaceful of a rythem in life as possible.
if u can build one or two friendships, then go for it.
if u can build one healthy relationship with a female - then go for it.

Social Anxiety can be horrible.
I've struggled with it for many years on and off.
What helped was taking a look at myself, and figuring out the things that were making me so self conscious, and anti-social.
Working on ways to feel good about myself, and constantly pushing my own comfort zone, and forcing myself to socialize.

That quelled the worst of it, but it still comes back from time to time. It hit REALLY bad this summer at the NE gathering. I hadn't met new people in so long, and the pressure of being around so many people i respected, and making a first impression was overwhelming. Friday was really tough. But, i worked through it, and ate some MDMA Saturday night, which completely turned things around, and not only helped at the moment, but shed light on the problem, and showed me ways to work through it.

I still get it in spells. Last night i was around Family that i don't see more than once a year. I was anxious, and feeling quite uncomfortable with the situation. I can't hide my discomfort. I were it on my sleeve, which amplifies things. In situations like that, the only thing that helps is BEER. Sweet nectar. I may sound like an Alcoholic, and maybe i am.
But beer is the ultimate social lubricant.
I have a prescription for xanax as well, but only use it recreationally. I don't want it to turn into a crutch. You need to work through your problems, not ignore them.

Yeah. I've always been shy and hard pressed when trying to speak up or act out. I often took drugs because they made me more social. I still do. I don't know what to say to help you. I haven't figured it out. But here's a couple things to think about.

Football. Football is there because it gives even stupid lugs something to be experts about so that they can join a conversation with some aplomb.

Religion. Religions are havens for many meek spirits and is a place where people can still come together without being laughed at. You might be the life of the party at a religious function.
