I remember my firstluciddream. I was just walking on the street and suddely I realised I was dreaming. So I wanted to ckeck it out. I turned around, started to float, could actually feel the wind down my face and hands, then i passed through a wall. I could actually see it's structure, the way the bricks were arranged. I just stood there, in the wall, being amazed by how it was biult. Then I went out and started to fly, faster and faster, till i went out the atosphere and visited a whole bunch of galaxies. It was amazing.

Awesome man  Last time I tried to go in space I woke up. :frown: but I gotta try that again.

I had a lucid dream last night...but I don't remember it. All I know is that it was the weirdest LD I've ever had, because it seemed at the time that the dream was even more real than waking life. It seemed that my dream WAS reality. Its been bugging me all day.

I woke up in the middle of the night thinking how strange of a LD I had, but I didn't have a piece of paper and a pen to write it on.

I usually keep a recorder next to me and that s because I tend every night to have long and complex dreams, most of them being a continuation of a place or situation from a past dream. Most of the times I wake upo and all I can say is awesome because I'm overwhelmed by it's intensity and it seems pretty dume for me at the moment to narrate it. And then I regret because I tend to forget detais which could be helpfull. In the same time, it fells that by talking about them kind of riuns it's "soul".

My first lucid dream (In which I actually knew I was lucid dreaming) only happened a few months ago. It was cool, my parents were really ripping on me, and my brother said to me 'don't worry, it's just a dream'. I immediatly flew out of the window (who doesnt fly?).

Shortly after that, I had my first out of body experience. I could feel my 'spirit' body rising out of my real one. When I realized what was going on, my spirit body SLAMMED back into my real one. I sat up and I was out of breath. It was cool

Cool that you managed to leave the earth's atmosphere. Whenever I try to fly I can only get so far up and then I start to get pulled back down.

i had a dream last night that i could fly.. which happens very rarely for me. it was sort of a flap your arms kind of flying, but not like a bird or some shit, more like a move your arms, or you will slowly float down towards the ground. alot of my memory of it is clouded, but a remember a few things.. i was accompanied by a friend during this adventure, i really have no idea who it was, but i sort of think it was another me(?). there was an interesting part where i was going to get down with jessica simpson and these 2 twins. but in the midst of whispering to my friend that i get the twins and he gets jessica, some bitch out of no where starts talking and talking blah blah blah blah, so i end up leaving (cant even get laid in my fucking dreams :hissyfit:). after that i am outside of the house near some lake or river. i say a couple things to my friend and start flapping again and float across the river, passing some people on a small boat that look at me weird, and end up at a large building, with lots of people in it. might have been a mall or something.

...and that is the fucked up mind of krishnamurti. it wasnt really "lucid" just another one of those entertaining dreams of random crazy shit that you shouldnt share with anyone

Lucid dreaming comes and goes, for me it all seems to depend on how much I had been using mental imagery in the day(s) prior. I don't know how to describe it much better at this time, but I belive ones ability to experience dreams far beyond the norm, and then sometimes beyond the lucidity of ordinary reality is directly related to the amount of energy you apply to mental imagery in your daily life.
enough of that...\

Last night I had this very stange lucid dream, but I was not aware of the dream. It was the time shortly following a nuclear holocaust, the village I was staying in was protected, in a valley, from the blast. Food and power were gone, and everyone around was confused and scared... Following some trivial events, massive winds ripped though the hills containing a plague of locusts and I could feel everything from the : adrenaline, the cold force of the air, and the harsh blasting of millions and millions of insects. A massive black tornado formed on the horizon, but then the winds stopped, and everything went totally quiet.
The peace was soon broken by the site of shore line receding very fast, and mass panic broke out amoung the people as the water returned rising up the slopes of engolfing the community.

The final events of my dream involved me trying to quickly fill a bottle with some water trying to flee the rising water which was now around me... and just as I was about to sprint ahead, I noticed a small boy behind me, I raised him on my back and continued to climb. I could feel his weight and how it was going to make my survival uncertain. and I woke.

lucid dreaming is exaltant joy, liberation and adventure on a magnificent scale.

Ive been having some savage LD's lately, truly beautifull.

"Awesome man Last time I tried to go in space I woke up. but I gotta try that again."

trust me. try it again
it is one of the most amazing things ive done in an lucid.

I shot up like a rocket into the atmosphere, and kept going. i passed suns and planets, galaxies and universes. I saw glimpses of alien landscapes as i soared past orbs... it was madness. Then, when i reached the summit of space, i dropped back down like a meteor, to the EXACT space in my dream that i had left off. It was indescribably wild.

Some other tips: if you ever get lucid in a dream, LOOK AT THE SKY. this is a good one because it is very fast and easy to do and takes very little dream control and WOW THE THINGS YOU WILL SEE.

absolutely awe inspiring. When i did this one, i saw the night sky with huge planets, giant space whales drifting through eternity... pressed my awe buttons for sure.

happy dreaming yall!

dont forget tthose reality checks!

well, i had an LD last night, and i remembered what you said, so i looked up at the sky, but it was completely black. then i decided to fly in outer space, but i was surrounded by darkness and all there was left was myself, and thus i woke up.

so i tried to go back into my dream, and as i did so, i realized that i was dreaming that i was in my room in my bed, but since my room was completely dark, i woke up again. I went from being lucid to waking up about 5 times. it really sux. it seems that i'm unable to stabilize myself in the lucid state.

now that i think about it, i don't think that i've spent more than one minute being lucid in a dream. can you give me any tips?

oh, and another question, are you able to have LDs in a period when you're smoking weed?

Re: Lucid Dreams [Re: klonokingpin]

But what was your LUCID dream exactly? Were you actually conscious of your dream? and could you control your dream knowing fully well that you were dreaming while it occured?
You haven't really specified if you had a lucid dream occurance or not.
I personally, have had a lot of lucid dreams , and one in specific was in which I was fighting as a ninja and there were two teams... So after alot of shooting and killing, I accidentlly killed someone on my own team. The second it occured, instantly, I came to the realization that I was dreaming, even though I was still asleep. I quickly pressed the rewind button in my head, and I then proceeded to shoot the right person on the opposing team. Immediately after, I was fully convinced that everything was real until I eventually woke up.
SO In conclusion I would like to know if you really know what a lucid dream is?
And if this was really your first lucid experience, then I find that odd because only 5 percent of the population has lucid dreams (look it up) and they always remember most of their dreams every night (which is mostly uncommon for the average person); and only when something happens that they want to change will the lucid dream take place... and they DO NOT wake up, and immediately go back to believing that their dream is real.
If you actually understand anything I just explained then give me a holla.

Re: Lucid Dreams [Re: exclusive58]

hey exlusive, how are you brother? you are one of my kindred souls here... remind me much of myself indeed.

Anyways! i would have sent you a pm on this, but i figured this stuff is relevant to all dreamers.

first off: dont get discouraged! the problems you are experiencing are close to universal with dreamers. Lucid dreaming is a lifelong process... the fact that you are focused on them and having them at all is a great sign. trust me, as long as you truly desire and think about lucid dreaming, you will continuously improve...

anyways! so the problem of "everything going black" is very common. ive had it too. cant say exactly what causes it.  I find the best thing is to "relax" in the dream... stop thinking or searching for anything to be there, just release your mental muscle.that should increase the likelihood of yoru dream envionment returning... however , you are also fairly likely to lose lucidity, but thats no big deal.

everything going black when you fly into space is especially common. Often, moving too fast seems to break up the dream... but not always. Anyways, all i can really say is that the "going black" thing is common but youll get past it. It still happens to me sometimes. it just goes with the territory.

I had an AWESOME lucid the other night, and right in the middle of it everything went black. So i tried to find my hands, thinking that might help. It didnt, but then suddenly everything was back...

as for maintianing lucidity, staying lucid, that i can offer more help on.

an easy trick is to simply shout "increase lucidity now!" in the dream. repeat as often as nescessary and with maximum force/

HOWEVER in my oppinion the most important tek for a beginning lucid dreamer is this:

FIND YOUR HANDS! this is crucial. the first step is to just find those hands. Look at them in your dream. that is a big accomplishment on its own!

once youve done that, look from your hands to an object in your dream. linger on that object for only a second! no more! then back to your hands! then back tot he dream! then back to your hands! continue in this way!

this is so important for maintaining dream attention. the problem people have is they become absorbed in the intricate beauty of the dream, and just "go with the flow" theres nothing wrong with that except that you will rapidly lose lucidity, in all likelihood.

By repeatedly looking at your hands, you maintian that you have an identity seperate from your surroundings. it reminds you that "you" are there... i cant expalin it except to say it is very helpfull.

this technique i learned from carlos castaneda's "art of dreaming" and it helps in alot of ways. if i were you, id make this your first lucid dreaming goal. Everytime you get lucid, look at your hands, then your dream, then back at your hands. you should have much longer LD's and this sets the stage for the next step in dreaming.

TIP: do you do reality checks? as in checking that you are dreaming when awake? this is very important. Use the look at the clock or turn the light switch on and off methods. a helpfull thing though is everytime you do a dream check, afterwards do wahtever it is that you intend to do when you DO get lucid.

for example, everytime you check a clock and see that you arent dreaming, then look at your hands, then at something around you, then back at your hands, etc...

by doing that you imprint your intentions on yoru mind and wil have a better chance of doing that in your dreams.

good luck man.

peace

Lucid dreaming is positively amazing. I still remember the first time I realized that I was dreaming and I could control it I was in a Strip club that was actually down the street from me in waking life. No lie, when I woke up I was so pissed that I smashed my alarm clock into disability with my fist. But yeah lucid dreaming rulz. keeping track of your dreams by journal or tape recorder so you can remember them always helped to instigate lucid dreaming in my head. though I don't dream much anymore, that I can remember.

I'm doing pretty good, thanx for asking! I'm taking a break from studying for my exams right now, and i really can't wait for vacation time, i.e. party time. I've also got some weed waiting for me that i bought 2 months ago, and that i haven't touched sinced. I took a break from smoking especially in order to have LDs, because it seems that weed makes me easily forget my dreams and makes it harder for me to LD. you didn't answer my question concerning your herb consumption and your LD capability. Do the two go well together for you?

Anyways, thanx for all the tips man, i'll definitely keep them in mind for next time. You rock!

My last lucid dream was so difficult to go through. In my dream I was in Iraq with my best friend who's over there and he was laying on the ground all bloody...his face was all cut up and I could see through the side of his face. I was in shock at first, and then I tried to help him. I remember he had a chest wound as well and I was putting pressure on it, but after that I don't remember anything. Worst dream ever.
