Air exchange

If my Amiba is using a humidifer for humidity and air exchange, does there need to be an exhoust hole on one side of my terrarium? If the answer is yes, how big should it be?

a CO2 escape hole should help; but making it too big can reduce your humidity quite well also. have your amoeba mak e a small (1/2") hole as close to the bottom of the terrarium as possible. but no it is not necessary; yes it probably will help.

The hole in my friend's terrarium for air escape is in the top, on the lid. Is this going to pose as a problem for anything?

no problem except all teh heavy CO2 will still sit on the bottom of the terrarium where youre mushrooms are trying to grow. CO2 is heavier than air so if you want CO2/O2 exchange put your vent at the bottom. else teh stale CO2 will collect at the bottom and all the vent hole will do is let the useable, humid O2 escape with no problem reducing your humidity for no good reason.
