okay, What the hell was Japans plan of attack after WW2? really!?!?!?!

i mean, they bombed pearl harbor, good start, then what?

i highly doubt their plan was to let america come and attack them after they made the first move, why didnt they go on the offensive and go take over the harbor, then go for the U.S.?????

i mean that is the only logical plan... i doubt they could have pulled it off... so what they hell were they thinking?

history says nothing about this,

you need to watch more of the history channel. They were expecting our aircraft carriers and a couple other destroyers to be in the harbor also. They weren't though the were north of the island. So when they attacked they expected to take out the entire western fleet. Sense the didn't know were the carriers were which could poss a threat to their ships they decided to call off their third wave of attack fighters and withdraw.

maybe germany knew america would get dragged in with the allies eventually so the nazis ordered japan to sneak attack them to prove their worth...maybe add a dash of megalomania and arrogance into the mix too after all they were both the greatest races on earth maybe

well, even though Germany and Japan were allies they really didn;'t order or tell each other who and when to attack. Japan did think that the U.S was going to enter the war and thought the best way to protect Japan would be to take out one of the threats on one front that way they wouldn't have to worrie about being attacked by forces on two fronts and separate their forces. This as we know didn't work out. Oh they have been playing most of the battles in the pacific on the history channel bird eye view pictures and all, it's really great!
