Nope, there's no CD in the drive, and it doesn't have a floppy disk drive(it's a laptop).

BTW, I tried booting again, and here's the exact message:

PXE-M0F Exiting Intel Boot Agent
Insert system disk in drive
Press any key when ready....

Oh, and I might as well admit what I did that caused the error, embarrassing as it is. I was trying to fill out some online form and the page kept screwing up, so I got pissed at the computer(I was rather drunk at this time) and hit it. Ya, I know it was a stupid thing to do. I'm guessing I damaged the hard drive, right? Is there anything I can do?

hahahaah damn man, that's probably what did it.

Do you know how to open up your laptop? If so, try jiggling around the cables and make sure the IDE cable going to your HDD (assuming it's IDE, if it's SATA, jiggle that cable) is secure. See if that does anything...

I know nothing of this techno-babble. And no, I don't know how to open up my laptop. I sent in a service request form to ResNet, so maybe they can help me out. Or maybe I need to take in to a repair shop.

I had a computer break down on me before a huge year end essay was due in high school. It sucked.

It was probably IK for when I told my french teacher my dog ate my homework, and stuck by my word all semeseter. It was so blatently clich? and my classmates and I enjoyed every last bit of it. I let my dog chew the shit out of a pad of paper and left the soggy mess on her desk.
