Instant Karma

Today i was going to a cardinals game with a couple of my buddies and we were driving around the city after havin a blunt tryin to find a parking spot and traffic was real bad.  anyways this car rolls down their window and asks to get in front of us and we said sure, and at the next light the lady gets out of her car and hands us a free V.I.P. parking pass. 

I just thought that was cool. anybody got any stories like this?

This past weekend I was going to check out a house to rent in Robert's Creek, a small town along the sunshine coast. We took the ferry on our bikes since taking a car on is expensive as hell. The ferry was delayed and we ended up getting there at 9 at night. Pitch black, pouring rain, a good hour plus ride on a dark highway to go. Neither of us really knew where we were going. Hell yeah, fucking adventure!

Eventually we stopped at a liquor store, bought a 26 of lambs and sat around drinking behind a local A&W for a good hour and a half (didn't realize the time until we were trashed and most of the liquor was gone). So we got on our bikes and continued out of the town we were in through the dark abyss. Somewhere along the highway the pedal fell off my bike, basically halting all progress. While looking for the piece that keeps the pedal on in the dark, drunk, with no flashlights or light besides a lighter, a car pulls over and offers to give me a ride to Robert's Creek while my friend rides his bike onwards. Very nice considering the guy had a very shitty old car, no bike rack (I held on to the bike through the sunroof that was getting rained into). We were smoking a bowl and talking, I casually mentioned potentially moving to Robert's Creek, yadda yadda the conversation moves on to work opportunities in the area, it turns out this guy runs a part time moving company and works full time as a drywaller, both of which need workers. I told him I'm an apprentice carpenter and have tons of random construction/labour experience. BAM! I've got myself a ride to our destination, 2 jobs in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, and a great new friend!

AND the next day I found out I'm to be the resident of an acreage 5 minutes from the beach. Beautiful home, cheap rent, and the landlady is a friendly elderly hippy who said we can literally do whatever we want with the place. I plan to explode my creative mind all over this place and all she did was laugh and encourage any and all artistic creative/deconstructive and random endevours. She even gave us a canoe to use for the duration of our stay, meaning coastal boating and fishing and travelling to other islands!! AND I already have steady, well paying work out there thanks to a kind stranger emerging from a black and stormy night on the highway to help out some randoms on the road.

It is so beyond me what I did to deserve this amazing karmic treatment...

One time I met this dude.  I bought him drinks, bummed him smokes, and loaded up bowls.  We jammed a couple of times.

Then he robbed my house while I was at work.  Gogo karma!

You. Robert's Creek is one of the nicest places on the planet. I am still kicking myself for the fact that I'm not living there now. If you have a place (they are expensive, btw) and a job lined up there, fucking jump on it. If you do not, you are a fool, like me.

Already have the place, rent is cheap because the house is a fixer-upper, but I'm a carpenter and like to think of myself as artistic so it's just what I need. It's just a space for me to expand and explore my creative capacities, do the things I want with no restrictions (within an acre anyways) and live in quiet peace. I have money saved for rent and living for a few months, but this job is looking very good. I move out there this weekend.

It's really funny because I had just gone there for the first time last weekend to visit a friend who as it turns out was volunteering at a festival there (faeries and fools, it was fucking amazing). It was sunny and warm and filled with great interesting folks because of the festie so needless to say I loved it. Decided to move out of my current crappy suburban home to somewhere else nice , anywhere in particular, it didn't really matter.
Iappened upon the craigslist ad that happened to of been posted an hour before that happened to be for a perfect little place in the exact area that spawned my desire to move somewhere beautiful and everything fell into place from there.

Fate beyond comprehension. At this point it really does feel like there is an outside source of motion for the events that I'm currently experiencing. Everything is quite perfect and only getting better, so much so that I can't help but gaze the horizon for that imminent tidlewave to shatter it all...
