Ive been Inspired to devote my body to science

thanksgiving day i realized so very much about myself. and how much i truly have to be thankful for.. my health, family, friends, my job, ect.

so ive decided to design an experiment where i will attempt to find answers on the lasting affects of lsd. my current idea is to have myself in the best possible health come january 1st, then start using acid, once a month, every month, for 5 years. and write a book when im done.. in the mean time, ill be working with my doctors (currently 2 licensed) to examine my brain waves, how my brain is functioning, and overall health, every 3 months.

if anyone has any ideas on how i should alter this experiment to try and remain safe, please let me know.. or an idea that would make it more interesting

please be respectful and try to keep my overall health in mind.. thanks guys!

well im pretty sure i will never have a problem obtaining it. and i plan on keeping a 3 month supply the entire time encase i do encounter dry patches in the market

Remain safe after doing acid for 5 years? You're gonna go crazy man. I know people who have done acid maybe like 50 times and they are out there. Good luck though man.

Are the doctors supplying you with the LSD?

ha i wish they would supply it, althou thinking about it.. thats not a bad idea.. althou im sure there would be a lot of legal issues then.. and im going to try and keep this as low profile as possible, atleast keeping the general public unaware of this.

Ton of legal issues, but you've talked to them already telling them your plan? What do they say about it? I would think they would advise against something like this.

advise against is making it very unstated.. and i have agreed if there becomes a point during my experiments where i am in serious danger.. that i will conclude my experiments.

But what if you don't even know you're in danger?

One of my buddies told me once (after doing acid many many times) that he could feel it actually eating away at his brain. Just a constant sharp deafening pain in his head. I'm not sure if that's just from tripping or what but it stopped him from doing LSD again. He's pretty stupid now quite frankly.

I'm just trying to understand why you would want to do something like this to yourself. Anything that you take too much of is bad for you, let it be vitamins or drugs. You could have some serious consequences man. Maybe you should think about this more?

its actually something i have wanted to do for about a year now.. and ive done some extensive reading about lsd and from various aspects whether it be leary, mckenna, or even hst.. ive just spent this time getting myself into optimal health for such an experiment.

what i hope to accompish from this is an overall view on how lsd interacts with the brain over time, and other outcomes which can not even be predicted

19 in a couple weeks.. and the dosage is something i havent really calculated yet.. like u cant really designate a number of hits, since every dose would be different even with 3 hits..

Well I hope one of them can change your mind on this topic. I think you are too young to do something like this to yourself. At least wait until you're old and have nothing left ahead of you. You could have such a bright future. You don't want to end up like that one dude on (i cant think of the person)'s sig. Please think a lot more about this before starting your experiemnt. :shroom:

constant supply of the same L and same dose. It must be constant if you hope to prove anything. + multiple doses per week. (just for fun. lets see how religious and extreme you get!)

Yeah once a month for 5 years? Big deal. I'm sure at least a few people on the shroomery have chosen to do psychedelics like this just for recreation.

Have you ever read through the thumbprint thread? It's about taking more LSD in one dose than most people take in a lifetime. It's also a good educational read for us young people.

If you really want to see the effects of LSD on the body and mind you should dose 2 times a week for a year or maybe even more.

But honestly your not going to prove anything and it would be stupid to abuse a psychedelic like this. I use the word abuse because if your FORCING yourself to trip sooner or later it will lead to bad trips, but whatever floats your boat I guess. :shrug:

That's an interesting idea, but anything you find after the five years will be completely ignored by the scientific community, because the design of the experiment needs to be altered. As it is, there are a huge number of potentially confounding and extraneous variables.

You would have to carry out this experiment in a very tightly controlled area, such as a completely empty room, and have every other variable from the music you listen to, to the food you eat, completely controlled. I don't imagine it would be an enjoyable lifestyle for 5 years.

I've done more than 50 hits in a month, 3 vials in 2 and a half months and 24
hits in one sitting... maybe your friends were already out there

I've used acid more than 20 years, I do catch trails off of everything which
can be an annoyance at times but I'd definately say it hasnt affected me
adversely, I certainly havent felt it eating holes in my brain and considering
that I'm always a high doser, I think I'd notice, sounds like your friend
buys into the propagand related to acid and has developed a psychosomatic
condition

what exactly would he be doing to himself, how are other drugs or vitamins any
better, ODs on vitamins happen and it's something that can build to toxic levels
if used excessively, many drugs on the market can have serious consequences
if they are abused, lets just start with kidney and liver failure
