Casing Questions

Hey my friend just wanted to run by the whole process he is about to undertake just to see if anyone else can find any big problems/improvements that can be made.
-Making 2 casings (a la 50/50 casing tech) with 5 1/2 pint jars (other jars were lost due to using BRF with preservatives in them)
-Putting the casings in a huge (140 liter) rubbermaid with 1.5inch of perilite on the bottom.
-Fanning twice a day
-After about a week expose the casings to light

So by using perilte does my friend need to mist? (I was under the assumption that misting helped with humidity ?)

Sounds good. I suggest lightly misting the casings once daily until you see pins.

with the perilte technique do you stop spraying after pinning starts or spray more?
