A beer tab is fairly small and has mostly rounded edges, so I would think it would go right through no problem. The only part I'd be concerned about is where the tab was broken off - it could scratch up his insides a little.

I saw a guy once on Guinness World Records who could swallow 5 quarters - all from different years - and then regurgitate them one at a time in ANY order he was asked.

Like someone could say "bring up the quarter from 1957" and he would cough/gag a little, then spit out the quarter from 1957.

well, I would drink a quart of warm water and try to toss it back up.

When I was little there was a kid in my grade who used to swallow stones from the playground. Some of them were quite a bit larger than a beer can tab, and he never seemed any worse off for it (other than from the inevitable teasing - the kid was eating rocks!)
